About Hana

Based in South West London, Hana draws and paints landscapes and portraits both from life and from her own photographs. She is interested in capturing places or people which are often overlooked or go unnoticed by most. Many of her paintings depict scenes from unexpected viewpoints, isolated places, or place higher importance on the 'lesser' aspects of a scene. She carries a sketchbook, watercolour paints and camera on her travels so that she can document interesting people and scenes to be explored in her work. Hana enjoys painting in a variety of mediums including acrylics, watercolours, watercolours overlaid with pen, and more recently oils.

A selection of her pieces including a self portrait have been exhibited in the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington and she was involved in the Art House Open studios in 2015, where her greeting cards were sold alongside the work of a local Twickenham artist. Her work 'Hidden Richmond' was selected as part of the 2018 exhibition Richmond People & Places at Orleans House Gallery and her paintings ‘Hidden Richmond’ and ‘Street from Cabot Tower’ were exhibited in the 2019 Studio 17 exhibition in Chiswick.

As well and drawing and painting, Hana plays violin and piano, performing with an amateur orchestra and regularly playing folk music with friends.
