People & Places, June 2018

In 2018 Hana’s painting Hidden Richmond was among those chosen to be exhibited at Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, for the ‘People and Places’ Exhibition which ran from 6th June - 19th August 2018.

The exhibition explored famous and also less well-known views of people and places from past and present within the borough of Richmond Upon Thames.

Hidden Richmond depicts the a scene of the back streets of Richmond looking out from a multi-story car park, a view that usually goes unnoticed by most. Charmed by the combination of colours in the brick buildings against the sky and blue-tinted rooftops, Hana chose to capture this unconventional viewpoint in the moments before the sun started to set. Hana has lived in the area her whole life, and despite having a great appreciation of the iconic views of Richmond, sees beauty in the unexplored.
